Types of Government
Each country is unique. Along with that, each country
has its own way of governing. These are the main types of government which are common nowadays:
- Democracy
- Monarchy / Empire
- Constitutional Monarchy
- Constitutional Republic
- Oligarchy / Dictatorship
- Federal
Democracy: A democracy is a government run by
the people. Each citizen has a say (or vote) in how the government is run.
Constitutional Republic: elected officials
and a Constitution that protects the people from the government.
Monarchy/Empire: A powerful monarch who rules
with the help of an aristocracy and has total power over the people and may
arbitrarily enact laws or punish subjects.
Oligarchy/ Dictatorship: In practice all
dictatorships though they may have one person at their head are ruled by a
small elite group, an oligarchy. They hold power by force and laws are
made at the whim of the rulers.
Federal (Federation): a form of government
in which sovereign power is formally divided between a central authority and a number of constituent regions
(states, colonies or provinces) so that each region retains some management of
its internal affairs.

Geography
Map of South America:
How to read maps:
Maps are used to represent different kinds of information. For example, they can be used to show where you can find roads or parks. In our case it is important to say that some maps show us the location of natural resources.
The resources
on the map are represented by symbols that you can find in the key (also called legend).
Here, for instance, fruit in general is represented by an apple or forestry by a tree.
